Images often through the passage of time become faded or damaged, we take those images and scan them at high resolutions before digitally manipulating and editing the image in ways that restore as much as possible its original presentation.
If you are looking for physical restoration of artworks such as paintings or watercolors please seek advice from a professional curator of the type of art you seek to have restored we do not curate or restore original artworks other than general cleaning for scanning purposes.
There are limitations to digital image restorations such as blown out whites or too dark blacks that have hidden image data forever, but outside of these extreme cases, digital image manipulation and data recovery offers a large range of options for image recovery including rebuilding misses parts of images based on the image itself.
Our experience allows for the removal of unwanted dust spots, artefacts, scratches, tears and other damages such as water damage from images using a variety of digital manipulation techniques to produce a new and cleaned image representation of the originally provided image.
Keeping images for the long term is done by using the correct types of inks and papers.
